I also think that Zoroastrian players should be able to form Eranshahr instead of Persia, mostly because the Persia tag is obviously made for the Safavids and other Islamic dynasties, and it has many Islamic character names that are very ill-fitting for Zoroastrian rulers and their court, plus it would make a great Yuan dynasty-style challenge for the player, possibly with an achievement attached. I therefore think there should be a decision, available to players only, that as long as they have a Paduspanid ruler, they can convert to Zoroastrianism. According to some sources, the Paduspanids continued to practice Zoroastrianism in secret right up until the 15th century, presumably until 1453, when the senior branch of the dynasty went extinct and the Nur branch inherited their holdings. I also have a few more ideas for the Paduspanids should you choose to implement them in 1.23 (which I obviously strongly urge you to). Simply split Amol in half, with the western half becoming the Paduspanids' domain of Ruyan. Most of the provinces in Tabarestan in 1.23 are about the size of the Paduspanids' territory, and if a tiny state like, say, Theodoro deserves to be added, I think the last descendants of the Sassanid dynasty certainly deserve to be in-game too. I believe the reason given was that they didn't control enough land, but I don't buy it. I was very disappointed to hear of their removal in 1.23, mainly because it's such a great missed opportunity.
